Greetings from Oromia Police College

Oromia Police College is flourishing a head as higher academic institution to offer various trainings. It was founded as higher academic institution by regulation no. 129/2002 at Adama. Previously, it was uncommon to see many PhD scholars’ staff and very limited numbers of academic courses were offered by the college with hundred students. MA program students enrollment was not exist. Teaching materials for practical work like forensic materials and Administrative offices facilities were also not fulfilled. But nowadays, this College has made spectacular achievements with in short span of 14 years. The College has been reaching numerous mile stones in the past couple of years in line with academic and other related activities: there are many PhD scholars from OPC staff with in national and abroad universities.

Oromia Police College  is graduated students from various programs. These majors are MA in criminology and criminal justice,generic degree in crime prevention, Regular diploma, diploma in crime investigation and diploma in community police.
After covering the awards and ranks for the graduates, the commissioner general of the Oromia Police Commission, Lt. Gen. Dirriba Mekonnin, gave work instructions to the graduates. He added that we must work dedicatedly to ensure that this sacrificial opportunity is not jeopardized in any way.
The Executive Director of the Oromia Police College, Deputy Commissioner Tolcha Magarsa, after delivering the welcome address, said that the Oromia Police College is moving with a renewed spirit to strengthen the capacity of the Oromia Police College more than ever. The graduates should serve their people with justice and courage. The training report was presented by Deputy Chief Executive Officer, As/Commissioner Asaammino Abdisa. He also selected members of the Oromia Police Commission and trained them in the profession of driving for three months.
