Greetings from Oromia Police College

Oromia Police College is flourishing a head as higher academic institution to offer various trainings. It was founded as higher academic institution by regulation no. 129/2002 at Adama. Previously, it was uncommon to see many PhD scholars’ staff and very limited numbers of academic courses were offered by the college with hundred students. MA program students enrollment was not exist. Teaching materials for practical work like forensic materials and Administrative offices facilities were also not fulfilled. But nowadays, this College has made spectacular achievements with in short span of 14 years. The College has been reaching numerous mile stones in the past couple of years in line with academic and other related activities: there are many PhD scholars from OPC staff with in national and abroad universities.

 

EDITORIAL POLICIES, SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND REVIEWERS GUIDELINES OF INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF POLICE SCIENCE, JUSTICE, AND DEVELOPMENT (IJPSJD)

Introduction

Since its establishment, Oromia Police College has been actively engaged in teaching, research, community service, and consultancy in the field of Police Science and Criminal Justice. Initially, the College offered diploma-level training for Police officers, but now it has expanded its offerings to include Master's degree programs in Criminology and Criminal Justice System, Peace and Security Studies, and Management and Leadership in Police. In addition to its academic programs, the College has conducted various research projects, community services, and consultancies, including significant research projects. The college recently began the process of establishing a research journal. It aimed at establishing this reputable journal to publish research works in police science, the criminal justice system and related disciplines. This journal helps the College to disseminate its research findings as well as others and elevate its status in the field.

The Deputy Director General for Research, Community Service, and Consultancy initiated the development of editorial policies, submission guidelines, and reviewers' guidelines for the International Journal Of Police Science, Justice, And Development. The journal is administered under the auspices of the Deputy Director General for Research, Community Service, and Consultancy, and a dedicated office of editorial board responsible to Editor-in-Chief oversees the routine activities of the journal. The International Journal of Police Science, Justice, and Development serves as a platform for researchers, academicians, and postgraduate students to share their intellectual output.
